Technical assistance for characterizing the entrepreneurial ecosystem of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) and feasibility studies – 2024
Based on the characterization of entrepreneurs interested in PAM production carried out between 2022 and 2023, the CTFC MAPs group conducted a survey to characterize those interested in aspects of experience, knowledge, available resources, characteristics of the area where they wanted to cultivate or carry out wild collection and topics of interest.
The 10 most interesting and viable initiatives were selected, and personalized support was provided to the selected initiatives.
Based on the needs detected, 6 information sheets were prepared:
- Educational and recreational spaces and activities around MAPs
- Manufacturing of final products based on PAM. Legal framework
- Small-scale production of MAPs and preparation of final products
- MAPs transformation: distillation
- MAPs transformation: drying
- Economic feasibility calculations for MAPs production.
This study has been complemented by training sessions.
