Cultivation and processing

The main working aspects, related to cultivation and processing of MAPs, are:

  • Yield evaluation of commercial varieties from different species found in the market, and contrast with plant material from wild populations.
  • Agronomic trials of MAP species under different growing conditions and study of their impact on the quality of the final product (essential oil or dry matter).
  • Protocols of domestication of wild species.
  • Study of the effects of processing protocol on the quality of final product obtained.
